R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Claudine Howard is receiving the Community Builder |
|
|
Award from the Tenaha Masonic Lodge on June 13, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Community Builder Award was designed by the |
|
|
Grand Lodge of Texas to recognize non-Masons who have distinguished |
|
|
themselves through exceptional service to their community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Tenaha, Ms. Howard won |
|
|
election to the city council in 2007, and she strives tirelessly to |
|
|
make the town an even better place in which to live and work; in |
|
|
2012, she organized the Tenaha Beautification and Events Committee, |
|
|
which has supported a number of important projects, including the |
|
|
establishment of a new city park and annual events such as the Fall |
|
|
Festival Along the Tracks and the Christmas celebration on the |
|
|
square; for her achievements, she has twice been honored as Citizen |
|
|
of the Year by the Tenaha Businessman's Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those Texans who step forward to share their time |
|
|
and talents with others are indeed deserving of our admiration and |
|
|
gratitude, and Claudine Howard has set an outstanding example of |
|
|
involvement and leadership to which all may aspire; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Claudine Howard on her receipt of |
|
|
the 2015 Community Builder Award from the Tenaha Masonic Lodge and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Howard as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
