R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jacqueline Sandoval of Hargill has rendered
  outstanding service to her fellow Texans during the 84th
  Legislature as one of the inaugural participants in the Rio Grande
  Valley Legislative Internship Program; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by State Representative Terry Canales and
  The University of Texas--Pan American Foundation, this program is
  designed to encourage UTPA students to pursue careers in public
  service; Ms. Sandoval has worked in the Capitol office of State
  Representative Armando "Mando" Martinez, where she has handled a
  range of important responsibilities over the course of the
  legislative session; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Sandoval graduated cum laude in 2014 with a
  bachelor's degree in sociology from UTPA, where she was involved in
  Alpha Kappa Delta and the Law School Preparation Institute;
  aspiring to a career in the legal profession, she has already gained
  work experience at law firms and plans to attend law school in
  pursuit of a juris doctor degree; and
         WHEREAS, This notable young Texan has performed her duties as
  a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she has gained
  valuable leadership experience while learning more about the issues
  confronting citizens of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Jacqueline Sandoval for her participation
  in the Rio Grande Valley Legislative Internship Program and extend
  to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Sandoval as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
