R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Raegan Padgett of Hardin-Jefferson High School in |
|
|
Sour Lake achieved great distinction by winning the gold medal in |
|
|
the Class 4A girls' 200-meter dash at the 2015 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, Ms. Padgett turned in a |
|
|
notable performance, crossing the finish line in 23.50 seconds to |
|
|
claim the Class 4A girls' individual state championship in the |
|
|
event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track & field athletes, Raegan Padgett has ably |
|
|
represented her school, and she will cherish her memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Raegan Padgett on her first-place |
|
|
finish in the Class 4A girls' 200-meter dash at the 2015 UIL Track & |
|
|
Field State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Padgett as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
