R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The girls' relay team from Hardin-Jefferson High |
|
|
School in Sour Lake achieved great distinction by winning the |
|
|
silver medal in the Class 4A 4x100-meter relay at the 2015 |
|
|
University Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, the relay team of Taylor |
|
|
Aldrich, Wreagan Taylor, Katelyn Holland, and Raegan Padgett |
|
|
finished the race with an impressive time of 47.81 seconds to claim |
|
|
runner-up honors; moreover, these four talented student-athletes |
|
|
also went on to compete in the 4x200-meter relay event at the state |
|
|
meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track & field athletes, the members of the |
|
|
Hardin-Jefferson High School girls' relay team have ably |
|
|
represented their school, and they will cherish their memories of |
|
|
this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the girls' relay |
|
|
team from Hardin-Jefferson High School on their second-place finish |
|
|
in the Class 4A 4x100-meter relay and their participation in the |
|
|
4x200-meter relay at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State Meet and |
|
|
extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the athletes as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
