R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tonea Marshall of Seguin High School in Arlington
  achieved great distinction by winning gold and silver medals in two
  individual events at the 2015 University Interscholastic League
  Track & Field State Meet; and
         WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
  Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 15, Ms. Marshall delivered a
  pair of notable performances, claiming the gold medal in the Class
  5A girls' 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.55 seconds and a
  silver medal in the Class 5A girls' long jump with a distance of 18
  feet, 10 inches; her efforts in both events contributed to the
  overall score of the Seguin girls' track team, helping the Cougars
  to capture the UIL Class 5A girls track and field state
  championship; and
         WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
  high school track and field athletes, Tonea Marshall has ably
  represented her school, and she will cherish her memories of this
  outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tonea Marshall on winning gold and
  silver medals in individual events at the 2015 UIL Track & Field
  State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Marshall as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
