R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
  mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Bennie and Kathy Bock
  of New Braunfels are celebrating this joyful milestone in their
  marriage on May 29, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Bennie Walter Bock II and the former Katharyn
  Carterette Holmberg were joined in matrimony in 1965 at a ceremony
  held at St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin; with the passing
  years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes
  two daughters, Suzanne Badger and her husband, Brian, and Lucretia
  Bock, as well as two grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, An alumnus of St. Mary's University School of Law,
  Mr. Bock enjoyed a fulfilling career in state government, working
  on the staff of several public officials before being elected to the
  Texas House of Representatives in 1972; he distinguished himself as
  a strong and effective advocate for his constituents, and
  throughout his 10 years in office he received vital support from his
  wife; Mr. Bock was also a successful attorney for nearly a
  half-century, and today he is president, CEO, and a partner with
  NegaWatt Power Solutions Group; and
         WHEREAS, The couple moved to New Braunfels shortly after the
  birth of their first child, and Mr. Bock serves his community
  through his service on the board of directors of the Creedmoor-Maha
  Water Supply Corp. and his involvement with the Texas Legislative
  Conference, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association,
  and Texas Exes; Mrs. Bock is an active member of the Texas
  Legislative Wives Club, the Texas Federation of Republican Women,
  and Savvy, and she has served in leadership roles with Gay 40s, a
  New Braunfels women's social club; the couple are longtime
  congregants of St. John's Episcopal Church, and in their leisure
  time, they greatly enjoy cheering on The University of Texas at
  Austin Longhorns; and
         WHEREAS, The five decades of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Bock
  have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
  commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
  know them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Bennie and Kathy Bock on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bock as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
