R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Tracy Jander, a junior at Lorena High School, |
|
|
participated in the University Interscholastic League Track and |
|
|
Field State Meet held May 14-16, 2015, at Mike A. Myers Stadium in |
|
|
Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This talented young Texan qualified for state for |
|
|
the third year in a row and competed in both the 4A high jump and |
|
|
300-meter hurdle events in 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the high jump, Ms. Jander cleared five feet, two |
|
|
inches, to claim fourth place, and her time of 46.48 seconds in the |
|
|
300-meter hurdles was good for an eighth place finish; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete as one of the elite |
|
|
track and field athletes in the Lone Star State, Tracy Jander has |
|
|
ably represented her school, and she may indeed reflect with pride |
|
|
on her notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tracy Jander on her performance in |
|
|
the 2015 UIL Track and Field State Meet and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Jander as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
