R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Heather Metzgar of Hewitt Elementary School has been |
|
|
named the 2014-2015 Region 12 Assistant Principal of the Year by the |
|
|
Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, TEPSA recognizes regional assistant |
|
|
principals for their strong educational leadership abilities; |
|
|
Ms. Metzgar was selected for her numerous accomplishments, which |
|
|
include the implementation of a health and wellness club for |
|
|
third- and fourth-graders; she also played a significant role in |
|
|
the completion of a collaborative garden construction project |
|
|
between Midway High School and Hewitt Elementary students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed administrator earned a bachelor's |
|
|
degree from Texas A&M University and went on to graduate from the |
|
|
University of Houston with a master's degree in counseling; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Metzgar's dedication to her profession has made |
|
|
a positive difference in the lives of countless young Texans, and |
|
|
she is indeed deserving of recognition for her efforts; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Heather Metzgar on her selection as |
|
|
the 2014-2015 Region 12 Assistant Principal of the Year and extend |
|
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Metzgar as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
