R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Representatives from Govind Development of Corpus |
|
|
Christi are visiting the State Capitol on May 28, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A full-service engineering, procurement, and |
|
|
construction management company, Govind Development has a customer |
|
|
base of oil and gas companies in Corpus Christi and surrounding |
|
|
municipalities; it was named the fastest-growing engineering firm |
|
|
in the country by Inc. 500; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The enterprise is guided by Govind Nadkarni, and as |
|
|
chief executive officer, he encourages involvement in outreach |
|
|
projects that benefit the community; he and his employees volunteer |
|
|
for the local food bank, Youth Leadership Camp, Driscoll Middle |
|
|
School, and beach cleanups; recently, company personnel and their |
|
|
family members helped to improve an assisted living facility by |
|
|
building flower beds, planting palm trees, and performing general |
|
|
maintenance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Govind Development sets an example of good corporate |
|
|
citizenship while enhancing the prosperity of Corpus Christi, and |
|
|
it is indeed a pleasure to recognize this dynamic and |
|
|
public-spirited member of the business community; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Govind Development for its contributions |
|
|
to Corpus Christi and extend to its staff and management sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the company as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
