R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The 100th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed
  cause for celebration, and Helen Gaylor Lipsey of Waco marked this
  momentous milestone in her life on May 17, 2015, in the company of
  family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Chilton in 1915, the former Helen Hicks is
  the daughter of Hunter Primrose Hicks and Ola Adams Hicks; she grew
  up in the Waco area with her five younger siblings; on September 19,
  1932, she eloped with Vernon Gaylor, and they became the proud
  parents of seven children, Legene, Keith, Louise, Arlan, Elois,
  Judy, and Don; and
         WHEREAS, The couple shared a rewarding marriage of 58 years
  until the passing of Mr. Gaylor; fortunate to find love a second
  time, she married Cecil Lipsey in 1991, and they were together for
  18 years before his death; today, Mrs. Lipsey is surrounded by the
  love of a fine family that has grown to include 46 grandchildren, 26
  great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Blessed with the affection of a host of loved ones
  and sustained by her strong faith, Helen Gaylor Lipsey has
  gracefully reached the century mark and continues to enrich the
  lives of all who are fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Helen Gaylor Lipsey on her 100th
  birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Lipsey as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
