R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The Jasper High School boys' relay team achieved |
|
|
great distinction by winning a bronze medal at the 2015 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track and Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, the team of Dan Adams, |
|
|
JaKeithan Adams, Tevin Sells, and LeDale White captured third place |
|
|
in the Class 4A 4x200-meter relay with an outstanding time of 1 |
|
|
minute, 26.98 seconds; the squad also competed in the 4x100-meter |
|
|
event, recording a time of 42.18 seconds to claim fifth place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, the members of the Jasper High |
|
|
School boys' relay team have ably represented their school, and |
|
|
they will cherish their memories of this outstanding accomplishment |
|
|
for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Jasper High |
|
|
School boys' relay team on their notable performance at the 2015 UIL |
|
|
Track and Field State Meet and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
