R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ray and Marie Davis of Winnsboro celebrated their |
|
|
65th wedding anniversary on April 19, 2015, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1950, Ray Davis and the |
|
|
former Marie Bolar exchanged the vows of matrimony in Clovis, New |
|
|
Mexico, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in |
|
|
each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Davis count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their 3 children, as well as their 8 |
|
|
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 |
|
|
great-great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure spending many |
|
|
special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six and a half decades, Ray and Marie Davis have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Marie Davis on their 65th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
