R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, M. L. and Doris Wood of Lone Star celebrated their 70th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on February 8, 2015, and they may indeed reflect |
|
|
with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1945, M. L. Wood and the |
|
|
former Doris Coley exchanged the vows of matrimony, and over the |
|
|
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Wood are the parents of four children, |
|
|
Earline Anderson, Manley Wood, James Wood, and the late Jean Kaatz, |
|
|
and they have seen their family grow to include 9 grandchildren, 17 |
|
|
great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, with whom |
|
|
they treasure spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For seven decades, M. L. and Doris Wood have brought |
|
|
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate M. L. and Doris Wood on their 70th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
