R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Ray K. Haley of Houston on May 3, 2015, at the age of 88;
  and
         WHEREAS, Ray Haley was born in League City, and he graduated
  from Nacogdoches High School in 1944 before serving in the United
  States Army during World War II; he went on to earn a bachelor's
  degree in architectural engineering from The University of Texas at
  Austin in 1951; passionate about his work, he enjoyed a 40-year
  career with Williams Brothers Construction, where he was an
  integral part of the company's bridge building operation and a
  mentor to many of his co-workers; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Haley was blessed with the
  love and support of his wife of 61 years, Elsie, and their three
  children, Ed, Karen, and Ray; as his family grew, he delighted in
  spending time with his four grandchildren; additionally, he was a
  valued congregant at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, and he
  was an active member of the community civic association; and
         WHEREAS, Although Ray Haley is deeply missed, memories of his
  kindness, his integrity, and his devotion to his loved ones remain
  to comfort and inspire those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ray K. Haley and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Elsie Haley; to his children, Ed Haley and his wife, Betty, Karen
  Haley, and Ray Haley Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; to his
  grandchildren, Rob, Sarah, Logan, and Cody; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ray Haley.
