H.R. No. 3240
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Woodville High School softball team enjoyed a
  successful 2015 season, advancing to the Class 3A regional
  semifinals in the University Interscholastic League state
  tournament; and
         WHEREAS, Under the guidance of head coach Shawn Mixon, the
  Lady Eagles put in countless hours of practice and made an
  impressive run to capture the District 22-3A crown and advance to
  the playoffs; and
         WHEREAS, In the Class 3A Region 3 state bracket, the team made
  an outstanding showing, starting off with decisive 17-0 and 15-4
  wins against the squad from Trinity High School; they went on to
  beat the teams from Danbury and Boling in close contests before
  falling to White Oak 2-0 in the regional semifinal round; and
         WHEREAS, With their effort in the UIL state tournament, the
  Lady Eagles have proudly represented Woodville High School, and the
  dedication the students have demonstrated is sure to serve them
  well in the years ahead; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Woodville High School softball
  team on a successful 2015 season and extend to the players and
  coaches sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
