R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carsen Meredith Hartung of Humble has received an |
|
|
Academic All-American award, and this presents a welcome |
|
|
opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of this outstanding |
|
|
young Texan; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Academic All-American award is given to a |
|
|
student-athlete who has earned straight As for two consecutive |
|
|
years on entering middle school; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A seventh grade student at Atascocita Middle School, |
|
|
Ms. Hartung has excelled in her schoolwork while also competing on |
|
|
the volleyball, basketball, and track teams; additionally, she is |
|
|
involved with the National Charity League and National Junior Honor |
|
|
Society, and she is a valued congregant at Woodlands Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of James Linus and Lea Meredith |
|
|
Hartung, Carsen Hartung has proven herself to be an exemplary |
|
|
student and a skilled athlete, and she may indeed look forward to a |
|
|
future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Carsen Meredith Hartung on her |
|
|
receipt of an Academic All-American award and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Hartung as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
