R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sandy McNutt has deservedly been recognized by the |
|
|
board of trustees of the Arlington Independent School District with |
|
|
the naming of a new elementary school in her honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, One of four new schools in the district, Sandy |
|
|
McNutt Elementary is slated to open in the fall of 2016 on Arbrook |
|
|
Boulevard in Arlington; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. McNutt enjoyed a distinguished career with |
|
|
Arlington ISD that spanned nearly three decades; she initially |
|
|
worked as a teacher at Ditto Elementary School and went on to serve |
|
|
as an assistant principal at Starrett and Moore Elementary Schools |
|
|
and as principal of Wood Elementary; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed educator made a positive and lasting |
|
|
difference in the lives of countless students during her tenure at |
|
|
Arlington ISD, and the naming of a school in her honor is truly a |
|
|
fitting tribute; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the naming of Sandy McNutt |
|
|
Elementary School and extend sincere gratitude to Ms. McNutt for |
|
|
her many years of dedicated service to the Arlington Independent |
|
|
School District; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. McNutt as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
