R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Harriet Sedgwick has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
as an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during |
|
the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Sedgwick has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Sedgwick holds a bachelor's degree in political |
|
studies and global and international studies from Bard College; she |
|
has previously worked with Battleground Texas, the New York City |
|
Council, Organizing for America in Pennsylvania, and The White |
|
House Project; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Harriet Sedgwick for her service as a |
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Sedgwick as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
