R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Marsella Ramirez is graduating from Pasadena Early |
|
|
College High School on June 4, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, |
|
|
Ms. Ramirez has completed an accelerated course of study in which |
|
|
she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate's degree |
|
|
from San Jacinto Community College; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, Ms. Ramirez managed to |
|
|
balance the program's rigorous academic course load with a number |
|
|
of extracurricular activities, playing varsity soccer for four |
|
|
years, serving as class treasurer, and organizing an event for the |
|
|
Larry Foundation; she plans to study communication sciences and |
|
|
disorders at the University of Houston, with the ultimate goal of |
|
|
earning a doctorate and pursuing a career helping children with |
|
|
speech disorders; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young |
|
|
Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and |
|
|
determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired |
|
|
along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Marsella Ramirez on her graduation |
|
|
from Pasadena Early College High School as a member of the Class of |
|
|
2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ramirez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
