H.R. No. 3292

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Alondra Moran is graduating from Pasadena Early College High School on June 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, Ms. Moran has completed an accelerated course of study in which she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate's degree from San Jacinto Community College; and

WHEREAS, Ranked first in her class at PECHS, Ms. Moran has successfully balanced her academic course load with a number of extracurricular activities; she is a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and is active in sports, competing on school soccer, cross-country, track and field, and volleyball teams; a recipient of the Dean's List Award from SJCC, she has earned admission to the Honors College at the University of Houston, which she will attend on scholarship in the fall in pursuit of a degree in mechanical engineering; and

WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Alondra Moran on her graduation from Pasadena Early College High School as a member of the Class of 2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Moran as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
