R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The annual Raymondville Police Department Cops for
  Tots Cook Off takes place each year in the City of Raymondville; and
         WHEREAS, An International Barbeque Cookers Association
  sanctioned state championship event, the Cops for Tots Cook Off
  features highly skilled pit masters putting their talents to the
  test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in several
  different categories; along with great food and spirited
  competition, attendees can also enjoy live music, a car and
  motorcycle show, and a carnival; and
         WHEREAS, Proceeds from this much-anticipated annual
  gathering go toward the purchase of Christmas gifts for
  underprivileged children; since its founding in 2010, the Cops for
  Tots Cook Off has raised more than $8,500 and provided presents to
  thousands of boys and girls in Willacy County; and
         WHEREAS, A fun-filled event for individuals of all ages, the
  Raymondville Police Department Cops for Tots Cook Off is a popular
  celebration of Texas-style food that is all the more special for
  helping to brighten the holiday season for young people in the local
  area; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the Raymondville Police Department
  Cops for Tots Cook Off and extend sincere best wishes to the event's
  organizers and participants for an enjoyable and rewarding
  experience.
