R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Donald Glen Banks of Mount Pleasant on May 20, 2015, at |
|
the age of 81; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Daniel and Lucy Banks, Donald Banks was |
|
born in Scroggins on March 10, 1934, and grew up in the company of |
|
three sisters and two brothers; he enjoyed a long career as a truck |
|
driver for Pleasant Oil, where he worked until his retirement; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Banks was blessed in all his endeavors with the |
|
love and affection of his two daughters, Carmen and Kathy, and he |
|
took tremendous pride in his eight grandchildren and six |
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Donald Banks is deeply missed, cherished |
|
memories of time spent in his company will long endure in the hearts |
|
of his many loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Donald Glen Banks and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
daughters, Carmen Fulce and her husband, Johnny, and Kathy Campbell |
|
and her husband, Tony; to his brothers, Dalton Banks and his wife, |
|
Wanda, and Daniel Banks and his wife, Elsie; to his grandchildren, |
|
James Hudson, Cassie Cordell, Casey Campbell, and Adrienne, |
|
Bradley, Roger, Misty, and Chris Banks; to his great-grandchildren, |
|
Tyla, Sarah, Marybelle, Winter, Dillion, and Kellann; and to his |
|
other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Donald |
|
Banks. |
