R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Sue Roberts Steed of Mount Pleasant on May 21, 2015, at |
|
the age of 97; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Nellie White Wilson and Luther |
|
Herman Wilson, the former Sue Wilson was born in Titus County on |
|
December 6, 1917; she was joined in matrimony to Virgil Roberts, and |
|
after his death, she was fortunate to find love a second time with |
|
Joe W. Steed; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Steed was the proud mother of a son, Learon, |
|
and three daughters, Yvonne, Maria, and Debbie; she devoted herself |
|
to her home and family, which grew to include two more generations; |
|
she was also a valued member of the First Baptist Church of Mount |
|
Pleasant; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Sue Steed will be deeply missed, cherished |
|
memories of time spent in her company will long endure in the hearts |
|
of her loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Sue Roberts Steed and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
children, Learon "Bubba" Roberts and his wife, Marcella, Yvonne |
|
Mizell and her husband, Jimmy, Maria Luce and her husband, Robert, |
|
and Debbie Easley and her husband, Dan; to her 10 grandchildren, 20 |
|
great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild; and to her other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sue Roberts |
|
Steed. |
