R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Jose and Guadalupe Banda of Mount |
|
|
Pleasant celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 8, |
|
|
2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1955, Mr. and Mrs. Banda |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Múzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Banda count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their 11 children, as well as their 47 |
|
|
grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure |
|
|
spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six decades, Jose and Guadalupe Banda have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jose and Guadalupe Banda on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
