R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, All across our state and nation, health care |
|
|
professionals and the people they serve are celebrating National |
|
|
Hospital Week from May 10 through 16, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, National Hospital Week represents a fitting |
|
|
opportunity to pay tribute to the myriad contributions of America's |
|
|
physicians, nurses, therapists, food service workers, maintenance |
|
|
staffers, volunteers, and administrators; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the American Hospital Association, |
|
|
this annual event dates back to 1921, when the first such |
|
|
celebration was held in Chicago; this year's official theme is |
|
|
"Where Miracles Happen Every Day," which recognizes the remarkable |
|
|
results the men and women of our health care system achieve each day |
|
|
through their dedication, skill, and compassion; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Among the many fine health care institutions in |
|
|
Texas is the Care Regional Medical Center in Aransas Pass, which was |
|
|
founded in 2010 by a group of local physicians and business leaders |
|
|
in order to answer the need for a high-quality community hospital; |
|
|
in addition to the medical staff, the center employs more than 250 |
|
|
people who provide full-service acute care as well as a wide range |
|
|
of inpatient and outpatient services; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Every minute of every day, the dedicated staff |
|
|
members of hospitals all across Texas and the United States are |
|
|
providing treatment and comfort to the sick, welcoming new life |
|
|
into the world, and helping to create healthy communities; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize May 10 through 16, 2015, as National |
|
|
Hospital Week and extend best wishes to the staffers of Care |
|
|
Regional Medical Center for continued success in their important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Care Regional Medical Center as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
