R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The first annual Labor Day Fest BBQ Cook-off is |
|
|
taking place in Mathis in 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Held in conjunction with other holiday festivities, |
|
|
the event is sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers |
|
|
Association as one of the organization's annual state cook-offs; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The competition draws highly skilled pit masters |
|
|
from around the state who put their talents to the test as they vie |
|
|
to produce the tastiest entries in several different categories; |
|
|
attendees have the opportunity to sample the savory specialties |
|
|
while enjoying a fun, family-oriented atmosphere; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|
|
Labor Day Fest BBQ Cook-off is certain to offer good food and good |
|
|
times to all those in attendance; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 2015 Labor Day Fest BBQ Cook-off |
|
|
in Mathis and extend to the event's sponsors and participants |
|
|
sincere best wishes for a memorable experience. |
