R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to |
|
|
recognize Alex Gamez Jr. for his admirable work as a legislative |
|
|
intern in the office of State Representative Senfronia Thompson |
|
|
during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A recent graduate of Texas State University, |
|
|
Mr. Gamez is one of five distinguished TSU students selected to |
|
|
participate in a Capitol internship this session, which provided |
|
|
those students a unique opportunity to observe and learn about the |
|
|
functioning of state government at first hand; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Gamez, an intelligent, hardworking, and highly |
|
|
motivated young man, has enhanced his knowledge of the legislative |
|
|
process and the issues facing citizens of the great State of Texas |
|
|
and, in the process, has gained valuable work experience, begun to |
|
|
develop his professional network, and expanded his understanding of |
|
|
the political environment; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Alex Gamez has demonstrated exceptional commitment |
|
|
and integrity in carrying out his duties as a legislative intern, |
|
|
and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his |
|
|
contributions to the office of Representative Thompson and to the |
|
|
state; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Alex Gamez Jr. for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Senfronia |
|
|
Thompson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Gamez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
