R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 84th Legislative Session, Shardae Womack
  has ably served in the office of State Representative Senfronia
  Thompson through the Texas Legislative Internship Program; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by Senator Rodney Ellis, TLIP was
  established in 1990 and is administered by the Mickey Leland Center
  on World Hunger and Peace at Texas Southern University; the program
  provides a unique opportunity for outstanding young men and women
  to serve as interns in the Texas Legislature, in state agencies, and
  in local government offices; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff of Representative Thompson,
  Ms. Womack has provided vital assistance in a wide variety of
  tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process
  and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has
  gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Womack holds a bachelor's degree with honors
  from Dillard University and a master's degree with honors from
  Southern University and A&M College, and she is currently pursuing
  a law degree at the Southern University Law Center; in addition, she
  expresses her strong Christian faith through her volunteer work in
  behalf of the City of Refuge New Orleans church and Sister Love
  Ministries; and
         WHEREAS, Shardae Womack has performed her duties as a
  legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she indeed
  deserves special recognition for her many achievements; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Shardae Womack for her service in the
  office of State Representative Senfronia Thompson as a participant
  in the Texas Legislative Internship Program and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Womack as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
