R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Isaiah Carter has ably served his fellow Texans as a |
|
|
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Poncho |
|
|
Nevárez during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Carter has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including corresponding with constituents and helping to manage |
|
|
administrative and organizational duties for the office; in |
|
|
addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Carter is currently a freshman at The University |
|
|
of Texas at Austin, where he is studying government and English; he |
|
|
has previously volunteered his time with the Wendy Davis for |
|
|
Governor campaign, as a research assistant, and as a member of the |
|
|
Texas Wranglers, and he aspires to a career in public service and |
|
|
politics at the local level; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|
|
duties as a legislative assistant with skill and dedication, and he |
|
|
is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Isaiah Carter for his service as a |
|
|
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Poncho |
|
|
Nevárez and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Carter as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
