R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, For the past 10 years, Dr. Emma Y. Lee and her
  business, the Kosse Acupuncture Center, have contributed greatly to
  the health and happiness of the residents of Kosse; and
         WHEREAS, A native of China, Dr. Lee moved with her family to
  Singapore after World War II; in 2005, she came to Kosse and opened
  her acupuncture practice, where she has provided skilled and caring
  treatment to her patients, as well as the occasional offerings of
  motherly and grandmotherly advice; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Lee has been active in her profession as a board
  member of the Texas Association of Acupuncture and Oriental
  Medicine, as a founding member and professor of the College of
  Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and as a member of the American
  Teacher Association for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; a woman
  of strong religious faith, she is a member of the Kosse Baptist
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, Known affectionately by some as "Miz Emma," Dr. Lee
  has dedicated her life to the healing arts, and through her skill at
  acupuncture and the example she has set of compassion and concern
  for others, she has become an inspiration to all who know and love
  her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Dr. Emma Y. Lee for her contributions to
  the people of Kosse and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Lee as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
