R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Deserving student-athletes from Crawford High |
|
School were honored at the 2014 Crawford Fall Sports Banquet; and |
|
WHEREAS, In cross-country, Kole Smith and Stormie Robb were |
|
recipients of the Team Leadership Award, while Zachary Price was |
|
named the boys' Most Valuable Runner and Micaela Rodriguez received |
|
the girls' MVR accolade; the members of the Crawford volleyball |
|
team earning awards included Haley Vaughn and Jaycee Williams, who |
|
were recognized as the co-MVPs for the Lady Pirates; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Crawford High football program enjoyed a |
|
successful season in 2014, and numerous players were acknowledged |
|
for their contributions as captains, including James Edwards, Blake |
|
Berger, Braden Murphy, Dillon VanZandt, and Barclay Brunson; |
|
Mr. Murphy was also named the Offensive MVP and the winner of the |
|
J. D. Hilton Fighting Heart Award, while the Defensive MVP honor |
|
was shared by Mr. Brunson and Blake Barnes; Nate Moenning won the |
|
Special Teams MVP Award, Mr. VanZandt accepted the C. K. Burns |
|
Hustle Award, and Lance Bracco earned the Junior Varsity MVP |
|
accolade; the Paul Bukowski Coaches Award was presented to Braden |
|
Nemec, Keaten Green, and Jacob Humphries, and Crawford head coach |
|
Delbert Kelm was also acknowledged at the event with the |
|
Outstanding Service Award for his 25 years with Crawford ISD; and |
|
WHEREAS, These talented players and coaches distinguished |
|
themselves through their notable achievements, and they are indeed |
|
deserving of the recognition they received at the Fall Sports |
|
Banquet; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the honorees at the 2014 Crawford |
|
Fall Sports Banquet and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the award winners as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
