R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Livingston High School percussion |
|
|
trio distinguished themselves with their performance at the 2015 |
|
|
University Interscholastic League Texas State Solo-Ensemble |
|
|
Contest for Class 5A and Class 6A schools on May 23; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Tyler Dover, Brent Lensing, and Logan Prosperie gave |
|
|
an admirable rendition of their chosen piece, "Drum Amalgam," and |
|
|
earned a first division rating for their efforts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the UIL State |
|
|
Solo-Ensemble Contest, these talented young Texans have added to |
|
|
the Livingston High School tradition of extracurricular |
|
|
achievement, and they may take justifiable pride in the skill and |
|
|
dedication they have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Livingston High |
|
|
School percussion trio on their Class 5A/6A first division rating |
|
|
at the 2015 UIL Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for Mr. Dover, Mr. Lensing, and Mr. Prosperie as an expression of |
|
|
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
