R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Chase Whiting of Fredericksburg High School |
|
|
achieved great distinction by winning the silver medal in the Class |
|
|
4A 300-meter hurdles and the bronze medal in the Class 4A 100-meter |
|
|
hurdles at the 2015 University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, Ms. Whiting turned in a |
|
|
notable performance, clocking 14.78 seconds in the 100-meter event |
|
|
and a personal best of 44.63 seconds in the 300-meter event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Eric and Crystal Whiting, Chase |
|
|
Whiting has excelled in the state's premier showcase for high |
|
|
school track & field athletes, and she will cherish her memories of |
|
|
this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Chase Whiting on her success in the |
|
|
Class 4A 300- and 100-meter hurdles at the 2015 UIL Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Whiting as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
