R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Colton L. Buckley of Gatesville is concluding his
  term as the student regent on The Texas A&M University System Board
  of Regents on May 31, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, An eighth-generation Texas rancher, Mr. Buckley
  began his one-year term in 2014 as the youngest student regent ever
  appointed by Governor Rick Perry; he currently is pursuing a
  bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University, where he is
  studying agricultural industries and agencies and political
  science; and
         WHEREAS, During his time at Tarleton State, Mr. Buckley
  founded and served as chair of the campus chapter of Young
  Conservatives of Texas, and he also has been active with the
  Tarleton Economics Society, Wildlife Society, and Student
  Government Association's House of Representatives; furthermore, he
  was appointed to the Commissioner's Advisory Council by Texas
  Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, and he served on Governor Greg
  Abbott's Young Texans Steering Committee; and
         WHEREAS, The skill, professionalism, and commitment to
  excellence demonstrated by Colton Buckley have made him an
  important asset to the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University
  System, and he may reflect with pride on his accomplishments as he
  looks forward to the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Colton L. Buckley on the conclusion
  of his term as the student regent on The Texas A&M University System
  Board of Regents and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Buckley as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
