R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Tilden FFA ag mechanics team has been named |
|
|
grand champion of the 2015 San Angelo, San Antonio, and Houston |
|
|
Agricultural Mechanics Shows; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These talented young Texans triumphed over hundreds |
|
|
of other contestants at each competition in the "Triple Crown of the |
|
|
Ag Mechanics World," impressing judges with an innovative cattle |
|
|
working facility that was designed and constructed over the course |
|
|
of five months; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ably guided by teachers Barry Randolph and Jim |
|
|
Harris, the group was awarded more than $60,000 in prizes, with four |
|
|
students earning a combined $18,000 in scholarships; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Tilden FFA team have demonstrated |
|
|
tremendous initiative and skill, and they may indeed reflect with |
|
|
pride on their notable achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Tilden FFA ag mechanics team on |
|
|
being named grand champions at the 2015 San Angelo, San Antonio, and |
|
|
Houston Agricultural Mechanics Shows and extend to the students and |
|
|
their teachers sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
