R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Nellie Plumley of Lindale on February 21, 2015, at the
  age of 93; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Basse and Lula Rice Fleming, the
  former Nellie Fleming was born on February 4, 1922, in Hodges,
  Alabama, and resided in that state until moving to Lindale in 1954;
  she found employment at the Buddy Schoellkopf Company, where she
  worked until her retirement; and
         WHEREAS, This caring wife and mother shared a rewarding
  marriage with Hubert Scott; following his passing, she was
  fortunate to find love again and married Elmer Plumley, who also
  preceded her in death; she was devoted to her five children, Owen,
  Roy, Mildred, Delphine, and Edward, and she took great joy in
  welcoming into the family her numerous grandchildren,
  great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; through the
  years, she was renowned for her skill as a cook, and she was a valued
  congregant at East Foothills Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, A profoundly sweet and thoughtful woman, Nellie
  Plumley touched many lives during her journey on this earth, and all
  those who shared in her warmth and affection will forever hold her
  close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nellie Plumley and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her sons,
  Owen Scott and his wife, Debbie, and Roy Scott and his wife, Debbie;
  to her daughters, Mildred Mason and Delphine Tunnell and her
  husband, Mike; to her 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and
  5 great-great-grandchildren; to her brothers, Todd and Buster
  Fleming; to her sister, Sallie Wilmon; and to her other relatives
  and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nellie
  Plumley.
