R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
|
passing of Billie Ruth Richardson of Gladewater on May 27, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born on September 10, 1923, in De Leon, the former |
|
|
Billie Ruth Jernigan was the daughter of Frank and Golden Patterson |
|
|
Jernigan; a devoted homemaker, she also found time to work as a |
|
|
self-employed saleswoman, and she was a faithful congregant at the |
|
|
First Baptist Church of Liberty City; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Richardson cherished the company of her loved |
|
|
ones, and she took great pride in her daughter, Kaye, and her son, |
|
|
Harry, who preceded her in death; over the years, she experienced |
|
|
the joy of welcoming into her family nine grandchildren and |
|
|
numerous great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Billie Ruth Richardson lived a caring and purposeful |
|
|
life, and she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all |
|
|
who held her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Billie Ruth |
|
|
Richardson and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her |
|
|
family: to her daughter, Kaye Dennis, and her husband, Paul; to her |
|
|
daughter-in-law, Ruth Richardson; to her sister, Joy Lynn Parks; |
|
|
and to her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her other |
|
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Billie Ruth |
|
|
Richardson. |
