R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, During the 84th Legislative Session, Rebecca Parma |
|
|
has ably served as an assistant in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Stephanie Klick through the Texas Legislative |
|
|
Capstone Program of the Bush School of Government and Public |
|
|
Service at Texas A&M University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining Representative Klick's staff, |
|
|
Ms. Parma has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety |
|
|
of challenging tasks; in addition to learning more about the |
|
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Albuquerque, Ms. Parma graduated from |
|
|
Texas A&M in 2013, earning a bachelor's degree in economics magna |
|
|
cum laude with Foundation Honors, and in May 2015, she earned a |
|
|
master's degree in public service and administration from the |
|
|
university's Bush School; she is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and |
|
|
Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and the National Society of |
|
|
Collegiate Scholars; she has served as chair of the Bush School's |
|
|
Student Government Association, and her previous legislative |
|
|
experience includes an internship in the Washington, D.C., office |
|
|
of Senator Ted Cruz; she has also been a resource team leader for |
|
|
Breakaway Ministries; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young woman has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative assistant with skill and dedication, and |
|
|
she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Rebecca Parma for her service as a |
|
|
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Stephanie Klick and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Parma as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
