R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Sunset Advisory Commission staff have |
|
provided vital assistance to the 84th Texas Legislature in its |
|
consideration of House Bill 2510 and Senate Bill 202, the |
|
Department of State Health Services sunset bills; and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1977, the Sunset Advisory Commission |
|
periodically reviews the policies and programs of more than 150 |
|
government agencies, with the goal of identifying and eliminating |
|
waste, duplication, and inefficiency; in addition to questioning |
|
the need for each agency, it considers innovative changes that |
|
might improve operations and activities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Sunset Commission agency |
|
director Ken Levine, team members responsible for review of the |
|
Department of State Health Services include project supervisor |
|
Jennifer Jones and project manager Katharine Teleki, as well as |
|
Erick Fajardo and Eric Beverly; they have each demonstrated the |
|
utmost professionalism in connection with the consideration of H.B. |
|
2510 and S.B. 202, and their extraordinary thoroughness, expertise, |
|
and willingness to be available at all hours have been invaluable |
|
during the legislature's deliberations; and |
|
WHEREAS, These praiseworthy members of the Sunset Advisory |
|
Commission staff uphold high standards of public service, and |
|
through their exceptional skill and dedication, they have |
|
contributed immeasurably to the efficiency and accountability of |
|
state government; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend the Sunset Advisory Commission staff |
|
members on the Department of State Health Services sunset team for |
|
their outstanding work and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the commission staff as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
