R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Diyaa Shah, a student at Armstrong Elementary School
  in Dallas, has been named a runner-up in the 2015 Texas Travels
  Essay Contest; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Texas General Land Office's Save
  Texas History Program, the competition encourages students to learn
  about cities, towns, and distinct geographic locations that were
  significant to the development of Texas, as well as about pioneers
  from Texas history who braved the uncharted areas of our state; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Kejal Shah, Diyaa Shah is in Ashraf
  Mobh's class at Armstrong Elementary; from among approximately
  1,500 total entries, her essay was selected as one of 10 finalists
  at the fourth-grade level, earning her a certificate of
  appreciation and other prizes; and
         WHEREAS, With her outstanding showing in the essay contest,
  Diyaa Shah has distinguished herself as a talented and thoughtful
  young writer, and she is a source of great pride to her family and
  her school; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Diyaa Shah on her success in the
  2015 Save Texas History Texas Travels Essay Contest and extend to
  her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Shah as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
