R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The boys' wrestling team of Amarillo High School |
|
|
achieved great distinction with its performance at the 2015 |
|
|
University Interscholastic League Wrestling State Tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland on February 20 and 21, the |
|
|
Sandies compiled a total of 57 points in their matches to finish in |
|
|
fourth place among the Class 6A teams; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school wrestlers, these dedicated athletes ably represented |
|
|
their school and community, and they will cherish their memories of |
|
|
this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the boys' wrestling |
|
|
team of Amarillo High School on their fourth-place finish in Class |
|
|
6A at the 2015 UIL Wrestling State Tournament and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
