R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The girls' wrestling team of Amarillo High School |
|
|
ended a memorable season by participating in the 2015 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Wrestling State Tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland on February 20 and 21, the Lady |
|
|
Sandies compiled a total of 30 points in the Class 6A team |
|
|
standings; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the state's |
|
|
premier showcase for high school wrestlers, these dedicated |
|
|
athletes served as ambassadors for their school and community as |
|
|
they gathered with their peers from across Texas, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with pride on their notable accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the girls' wrestling |
|
|
team of Amarillo High School on participating in the 2015 UIL |
|
|
Wrestling State Tournament and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
