R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Mary Ann Rogers Carter were |
|
greatly saddened by her passing on May 15, 2015, at the age of 79; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Mary Ann Rogers was born in San Antonio on |
|
June 11, 1935, to Milton and Ella Rogers; she shared a loving |
|
marriage with Edward J. Carter Jr., and the couple were blessed with |
|
three children, Karen, Edward, and Rex; with the passing years, |
|
their family grew to include four grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, |
|
Zachary, and Melissa; and |
|
WHEREAS, Warm and outgoing, Mrs. Carter won the affection of |
|
many friends, and her love for her children and grandchildren knew |
|
no bounds; she was a faithful servant of her Lord Jesus Christ and |
|
loved to worship Him and to share the Gospel; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mary Ann Carter lived a rich and purposeful life |
|
centered around her faith and her family, and she will long be |
|
remembered with admiration and affection by all who were fortunate |
|
enough to know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mary Ann Rogers |
|
Carter and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her |
|
family: to her husband, Edward J. Carter Jr.; to her sons, Edward J. |
|
Carter III and Rex Carter; to her grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, |
|
Zachary, and Melissa; to her siblings, Loretta Rogers McKenzie, |
|
Cleo Rogers Losinski, and John, Charles, and Mark Rogers; and to her |
|
other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Ann |
|
Carter. |
