R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Borger High School choir have
  qualified to participate in the University Interscholastic League
  Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest held in Austin and
  Pflugerville in May 2015; and
         WHEREAS, To advance to this prestigious competition,
  students must earn a Division I, or "superior," rating at the
  regional level for performing a memorized Class I solo or a Class I
  ensemble; and
         WHEREAS, This year, Borger choir members made an impressive
  showing at the regional competition with 17 of 22 total entrants
  earning a Division I rating, and seven of these students are
  progressing to the state contest; the choir members awarded the
  opportunity to sing at the state tournament, who each earned a
  superior ranking on their Class I solo performances, are seniors
  Kayla DeLeon, Brady Fellers, and Chyenne Putts and juniors
  Christian Crittenden, Mackenzie Garton, Michael Laswell, and Haley
  Vinyard; and
         WHEREAS, This notable feat is the culmination of countless
  hours of practice and an unwavering dedication to excellence, and
  these fine young Texans may indeed take justifiable pride in their
  accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate members of the Borger High School
  choir for advancing to the UIL 2015 Texas State Solo and Ensemble
  Contest and extend to the students sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
