R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The boys' cross-country team of Bushland High School
  ended a memorable season by participating in the 2014 University
  Interscholastic League Cross Country State Championships; and
         WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
  the state meet in Round Rock on November 8, the Bushland team
  included seven runners: Bayler Boydston, John Singler, Tanner
  Shultz, Tate Smalligan, Cole Alexander, Kendall Boaz, and Hunter
  Chambers; and
         WHEREAS, The Falcons posted a combined time of 1 hour, 29
  minutes, 24.46 seconds, while negotiating the challenging course,
  claiming ninth place in the Class 4A team standings; and
         WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the state's
  premier showcase for high school cross-country runners, these
  dedicated athletes served as ambassadors for their school and
  community as they gathered with their peers from across Texas, and
  the character and sportsmanship they demonstrated will serve them
  well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the boys'
  cross-country team of Bushland High School on participating in the
  2014 University Interscholastic League State Championships and
  extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
