R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Borger High School boys' 4 x 200 |
|
|
meter relay team achieved great distinction by participating in the |
|
|
2015 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, Jarric Weber, Tomarius |
|
|
Embers, Vincent Hearon, and Caleb Dickson gave a fine showing in the |
|
|
Class 4A 4 x 200 meter relay event, clocking in at 1 minute and 29.07 |
|
|
seconds to finish in ninth place overall; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete with the elite track |
|
|
and field athletes in the Lone Star State, these talented young |
|
|
Texans have ably represented their school, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with pride on their notable accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Borger High |
|
|
School boys' relay team on participating in the Class 4A 4 x 200 |
|
|
meter relay at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to |
|
|
them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
