R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Allissa Palmer of Stratford High School has achieved |
|
|
notable success in the 2015 University Interscholastic League |
|
|
Academic State Meet, held from May 26 to 28 in Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against some of the brightest students in |
|
|
the Lone Star State, Ms. Palmer won a gold medal for her outstanding |
|
|
performance in the UIL 2A Lincoln-Douglas Debate Tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her hard work and commitment to excellence, |
|
|
Allissa Palmer has distinguished herself in the state's premier |
|
|
high school academic competition, and her accomplishments are a |
|
|
source of great pride to her school and community; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Allissa Palmer on earning first |
|
|
place in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate Tournament at the 2015 UIL |
|
|
Academic State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for the |
|
|
future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Palmer as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
