R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The girls' cross-country team of Gruver High School
  achieved great distinction with its performance at the 2014
  University Interscholastic League Cross Country State
  Championships; and
         WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
  the state meet in Round Rock on November 8, the Gruver team included
  seven runners: Bailey Stedje, Hadlee Spivey, Cassandra Briones,
  Sarah Jackson, Reagan Haynes, Antolina Mendoza, and Kaitlyn Stedje;
  and
         WHEREAS, The Greyhounds posted a combined time of 1 hour, 5
  minutes, 22.13 seconds, while negotiating the challenging course,
  claiming fourth place in the Class 2A team standings; and
         WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
  high school cross-country runners, these dedicated athletes ably
  represented their school and community, and they will cherish their
  memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the girls'
  cross-country team of Gruver High School on their fourth-place
  finish in Class 2A at the 2014 University Interscholastic League
  State Championships and extend to them sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
