AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the availability of certain property and casualty |
|
|
insurance forms on the Internet. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1812.002, Insurance Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) The office of public insurance counsel may post an |
|
|
insurer's specimen policy on the office's Internet website. The |
|
|
posting, other than a posting described by Subsection (a), of an |
|
|
insurer's specimen policy on an Internet website does not create a |
|
|
duty to comply with the requirements of this chapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
