A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of a district clerk to post official and |
|
|
legal notices by electronic display. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 51, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 51.3032 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 51.3032. ELECTRONIC DISPLAY OF OFFICIAL AND LEGAL |
|
|
NOTICES BY DISTRICT CLERK. A district clerk may post an official |
|
|
and legal notice by electronic display, instead of posting a |
|
|
physical document, in the manner provided for a county clerk by |
|
|
Section 82.051, Local Government Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
